Pickling Paste
DESCRIPTION:
Pickling Paste is a transparent pickling paste for the treatment of stainless steel.
The product was specifically developed for removing discolouration around welds and from areas on stainless steel affected by heat. After treatment, a passively clean surface is obtained.
FEATURES:
- Acidic product;
- Contains hazardous components.
ADVANTAGES:
- Development of nitrous vapours is reduced to approximately 80%.
USE:
- Stir or shake the product well before use.
- Apply Pickling Paste pure in plenty with a special staining brush.
- The exposure time varies from 30 - 120 minutes and depends on the surface quality, the construction and the ambient temperature. The optimum staining temperature is between 18 and 22°C.
- After the soaking time is over, rinse with cold water and under high pressure (minimum 140 bar). Rinsing is necessary until the rinse water has a neutral pH.
Pickling Paste has a yield of approx. 50 - 80 metres of welded seam and run-on colour per kilogram. The yield strongly depends on the conditions and dimensions of the weld area to be treated.
NOTE:
Never dispose of product and rinse water into the sewage system. Both should be disposed of by a recognised chemical waste disposal company.
This product contains very strong acids and is only suitable for a professional user.
At the responsibility of the user, extensive tests must be carried out in connection with the application time and the resistance of the substrate to this product.
Incorrect use due to an excessively long application time or non-resistant surface can lead to irreversible damage for which no liability can be accepted.
PRECAUTIONS:
- The welds or surfaces to be treated must always be cooled before applying the product.
- Always read the label and observe the instructions before using this product.
- Always wear protective clothing, chemically resistant gloves and face protection.
- Always test the surface to be treated for resistance.
SAFETY:
- Always consult appropriate MSDS before use.
