Aqua NC 100
DESCRIPTION:
AQUA NC 100 is a highly concentrated, organic coagulant of mainly plant origin, which can be used in physicochemical treatment of water for the removal of suspended solids, metals and oil/fats. AQUA NC 100 neutralizes the charge of the particles present, thereby lowering rejection and creating cross-links between particles, facilitating their separation. AQUA NC 100 is a low molecular, cationically charged polymer that can be used in a wide pH range (pH between 4 and 10), and due to its structure will support flocculation.
FEATURES:
- Coagulant of natural origin.
- Free of iron and aluminum.
- Is not CLP classified.
- Low pH sensitivity.
ADVANTAGES:
- High efficiency at low dosage.
- Does not change the pH of the water, thus reducing/preventing the need for pH correction after addition.
- Provides lower sludge volume compared to traditional coagulants that is easier to dewater.
- No addition of iron or aluminum salts.
- Increases the organic fraction in the sludge making it usable for alternative applications (e.g. biogas production).
DOSAGE:
The dosage strongly depends on the composition of the influent and the type of treatment. The correct dosage should always be tested by JAR testing, but as a guideline we can give a dosage between 50 and 500 ppm.
AQUA NC 100 should be added at a place where mixing ensures good homogenization between the product and the water.
PRECAUTIONS:
AQUA NC 100 should be stored frost-free. The product tends to destabilize at temperatures below -5 °C.
